Garage Games X's and Y's

Join us at for this exciting partner CrossFit competition in Georgia. Two person teams (one male and one female) take on a fitness challenge designed especially for coed teams. Whether you are a “handshake” team or a “kissing” team, the X’s & Y’s Competition has a place for you. Put your team on the National Garage Games leaderboard and compete for prizes. This is one of the most fun and challenging competitions of the year. Top teams will get invited to compete in the Xs & Ys National Championship (location & date TBD).

RX, Scaled, & Masters 40+ in both Kissing (real couple) or Handshake (just friends).

WOD 1 – YOLANDA

5 Minute AMRAP One partner rows for calories while partner does the couplet below. Partners may switch out on the rower anytime a couplet is completed. Couplet: 5 power snatch 5 bar facing burpees Rx 95#/65# Scaled 75#/45# Masters 75#/55# Partners may switch anytime a couplet has been completed. Score is total calories rowed plus total couplet reps completed. 3 minutes to find 1 rep max snatch for each partner One partner lifts at a time. Partners alternate lift attempts. Athletes change their own weights (no helpers outside the partnership). Score is the total weight of the partners’ 1RM snatch. This will serve as a tiebreaker if needed.

WOD 2 - BILLY

7:00 to complete... 40 synchronized goblet squats 30 alternating box jumps (each partner does 30) 20 synchronized Man-O-Wars 10 synchronized deadlifts Complete all the movements within the allowed time and use the remaining time to do the movement of your choice on the rig. Athlete must choose one movement and stick with it for the entire WOD. Notify your judge prior to the start of the WOD which movement you will be doing. One partner works at a time on the rig. Movements are weighted so the more difficult movement will earn you more points. Rx - bar muscle ups (5 points) or chest to bar pull-ups (2 points).
